COMMUNICATIONS
(print this page)

Within our communications specialty, we assess telecommunications system needs, conduct network design, and implement teleconferencing. In brief, our expertise in teleconferencing (audio, multimedia, video and streaming) is organized into the Seven Steps To Successful Videoconferencing.

Needs Assessment: A needs assessment will provide the data needed to develop economic justification, provide input into the system design phase, assure system usage, and provide input into long range plans for system expansion.

System Design: Based on information obtained during the needs assessment phase, the actual system is designed. Specific equipment is selected to support the identified needs, and facilities are selected, designed, and constructed or modified as needed.

System Management: This phase deals with reservations and room operations. The purpose of these functions is to be sure the system is easily accessible to all potential users, and that facilities and equipment operate properly.

Internal Promotions: Promotions planning is an integral part of the installation and ongoing usage of a successful teleconferencing system. TRI works with clients in the development of promotional materials including user guides, tent cards, travel insert forms, email notifications, and web sites.

User Training: This phase deals with the development and implementation of a comprehensive program to train users on how to operate the system, develop applications, and use teleconferencing to accomplish their day-to-day activities. TRI offers on-site training or training via videoconferencing for room coordinators and users of all forms of teleconferencing.

Usage Tracking: By regular monitoring of reservation data, supplemented by interviews and/or questionnaires, reports can be made on the benefits of videoconferencing.

System Expansion: Based on the success of the initial system, expansion of the system will be addressed. The development of a written guideline for system expansion is undertaken in this phase.

Teleconferencing Project Management is a TRI offering which allows clients to build and/or expand a videoconferencing system with minimum effort at a reasonable cost by utilizing one or a combination of these identified steps. TRI manages the process from beginning to end. It allows the client one point of contact, rather than multiple contacts with carriers, vendors, and room integrators. TRI's role is to manage the network design, to coordinate network implementation with the carriers, and to coordinate the design, engineering, and construction of the rooms. TRI also assists organizations that want to expand their teleconferencing to other countries.
